Coming from Boone, Wilkesboro, coming east on 421:

• Take Hwy. 421 east to exit 272 (Clingman Road, Somers Road, Ronda, to 268)
• Turn Left at end of exit ramp onto Clingman Road, towards Ronda.
• Follow Clingman Road for about a mile and half, 2 miles until you reach a stop sign. Be careful, it's a 4-way stop. (Will go pass a church on left, Foothills Medical Center on right)
• Turn Left at the stop sign (Exxon station, J & B Greene at the corner, also sign to 268)
• Continue on 2 lane road for approx. 3 miles (will pass houses, and Ronda-Clingman Elementary School in a big curve)
• Go over the river and the railroad tracks, and turn Right onto HWY 268 on the other side of the Railroad tracks.
• Follow 268 in towards Elkin. (Will pass East Wilkes High School on left). Go through the stoplight (Neighbors gas station on the right). Go to next stop light, (Sagebrush Steakhouse ahead and Sonic on the right, and Turn Right onto N. Bridge street.
• Go straight through the next 2 lights past the CVS store, then at the third light, turn left.
• That's Hawthorne Road. (It's called Brenhaven on the Right). St. Stephens Catholic church is on the corner on the left, and WIFM radio station is on the right.
• Hawthorne Rd. is mainly residential, but the church is on the right, about the equivalent of a block to 2 blocks back. It is a white church with sign for First United Methodist Church, next door to Chatham Woods Senior Apartments. Go to the 3rd driveway and drive behind the church to get to parking.

From Interstate 77 (either North or South):

• From the South:  Just past exit 82, move to left lane and get off at Hwy 21 By-pass on the left.. Then take next exit ramp for Hwy 268 By-Pass. Turn Left at the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. (Be careful! Your view to the left is obstructed by the bridge) Go across bridge to the 2nd stop light and take a left onto North Bridge St. (Eckerd Drugs and Sagebrush Steakhouse are your landmarks.).
• From the North:  Get off at exit #85 (North Elkin & Hwy 268 By-Pass.) Turn Right at the stop sign.
• Then (for both North and South)…       Once you're on North Bridge St………
• Go straight through the next 2 lights past 2 gas stations &  the CVS store, then at the third light, turn left.
